FAQ

Q:  WHAT ARE THE EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE ARC?

A: The day to day operation generates many small expenses that add up to a major expense at the end of the year. The costs of medication, grains, other feeds, operating and maintaining heavy equipment, farm machinery, pick up trucks, and expenses that you can never expect add up very quickly.

We raise our own hay so that we know we have the best quality for our animals. The cost of fertilizing, cutting & baling all adds up.

We only have one part time employee, who donates much of her time after her job is done. We also have several other volunteers. From time to time we do have to hire outside help.

The raising of donations, the printing of the ELEGRAM, our newsletter, is all done in our office to save as much money as we can.

Q: HOW URGENT IS THE NEED?

A: Our need is always urgent as we never know when we will receive a donation of an animal & in some circumstances we have to get that animal wherever it is, which sometimes might be across the country. Construction, servicing, maintenance is an on going situation.

Q: HOW CAN I HELP THE ARC HELP THESE ANIMALS?

A: Your contribution goes directly to helping and saving exotic and endangered species. We are entirely public supported so it is your support of these animals that keep us operating. If you have land, equipment, supplies or services that you wish to donate to the ARC, please contact us. What might be junk to you may very well be useable to the ARC.
